JUVENILE COURT RULE 3.13
IN DEPENDENCY/TERMINATION PROCEEDINGS
- (1) If a party to the case, parent, attorney, CCCA, or other individual that is needed for a court case cannot appear in person, then appearance by a court approved electronic/telephone platform must be set up.
- (2) Cowlitz County Superior Court uses various electronic/telephone platforms. The attorney, or if not represented the parent, must contact the Court to determine the appropriate platform to use for the assigned court day.
- (3) If using Court Call, the appearance must be set-up 48 hours in advance of any court appearance.
- (4) In the event there is a request to waive the Court Call fee for telephonic appearance this fee waiver must be provided to the court and clerk 72 hours before any the court appearance. For example: If the court hearing is on a Wednesday at 9:00 am, the fee waiver must be filed with the Court Clerk no later than the Friday before by 9:00 am. This is to ensure that the Clerk can gain judicial approval of the court fee waiver and fax the document to Court Call for waiver approval.
